Business Analyst - S/4 HANA Inventory Management
Join to apply for the Business Analyst - S/4 HANA Inventory Management role at Randstad Australia .
Randstad Digital are currently working with a Defence organisation to find a Business Analyst with experience with complex inventory management systems. This is an exciting 12-month contract opportunity (with a strong view to extension) based in Amberley, QLD. You will play a pivotal role in standardising the usage of their recently implemented S/4 HANA inventory management system, ensuring consistency and clarity across the business.
The Role
Our client has transitioned its inventory management to S/4 HANA, but the implementation has revealed inconsistencies and a lack of standardised processes for data entry and system usage across the employee base. This has resulted in an 'untidy' system and ambiguity.
Responsibilities
* System Deep Dive: Thoroughly understanding and documenting the intended best‑practice usage, workflows, and functionality of the S/4 HANA system.
* Current State Analysis: Engaging with employees and stakeholders across the business to document how the system is currently being used, identifying communication gaps, process variations, and data entry inconsistencies.
* Process Design: Collaborating with stakeholders to develop clear, standardised, and uniform processes and guidelines that ensure a consistent approach to S/4 HANA usage across all departments.
* Implementation Support: Assisting with the rollout and adoption of the new, documented processes, potentially including documentation and support for training initiatives.
* Stakeholder Management: Acting as the key link between the technical system requirements and the operational needs of the end‑users.
Necessary Skills
* Proven, hands‑on experience working with S/4 HANA or other large‑scale, complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or inventory management systems.
* Strong skills in process mapping, requirements gathering, gap analysis, and developing functional specifications.
* Exceptional ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
* Problem‑Solving: A proactive and methodical approach to identifying and resolving systemic inconsistencies and process inefficiencies.
* Security Clearance: Must currently hold an NV1 Clearance (Negative Vetting 1) or have previously held one within the last 12 months.
* A strong professional background working within the Defence industry is essential.
