They are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for a permanent opportunity based in the North Ryde offices, right next to the train/metro station and also parking available nearby. It is a hybrid working environment with 2-3 days in the office.
They key aspects for this role is someone that is flexible and can adapt to different situations and handle pressure. Someone who has worked previously in a MSP or consultancy previously and understands what it is like to be in the consultancy space, dealing with clients and providing end to end solutions. You will also have to be hands on technically and have skills within MS365, Azure, Security and Networking. Strong in all areas.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement infrastructure services including servers, storage, networking, cloud platforms, virtualisation and information security services.
* Provide technical input into project scope, estimates, risk assessments, and delivery schedules.
* Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and architectural standards
* Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning activities.
* Prepare technical documentation including solution designs, change requests, test plans, As Built documentation, and operational handover materials.
Requirements
* Experience working previously for an MSP or Consultancy and has exp working for a variety of clients, small to enterprise level
* The ability to design, implement and execute infrastructure solutions across MS, Cloud, Security and Networking
* Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure technologies including networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, routing, switching), experience with Microsoft Intune for device management, endpoint configuration, compliance policies, and application deployment, virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions, experience with automation and scripting (e.g. PowerShell), exposure to enterprise security practices and compliance frameworks, experience with monitoring and logging tools.
* Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Fortinet, ITIL, etc.)
* Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and deliver a high standard of service.
