Job Overview:
A leading gold production company in Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair mechanical systems at their Paddington Processing Plant.
The ideal candidate will hold a Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification, possess relevant mine site experience and demonstrate strong communication skills. They must be able to work on a 7:7 roster with the ability to work varied shifts including night shift and weekends as required.
This role supports site safety and operational efficiency. The successful applicant will have a high level of mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret technical documentation, and communicate effectively with other tradespeople and engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal plant performance.
* Conduct routine inspections and testing to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
* Perform repairs and modifications to mechanical systems and equipment in a timely manner.
* Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement solutions to minimize plant disruptions.
* Work safely and efficiently to meet production targets and contribute to a positive working environment.
Requirements:
* Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
* Relevant mine site experience with a focus on mechanical maintenance.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with others.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints and diagrams.
* High level of mechanical aptitude with a focus on troubleshooting and repair.
