As an Assistant Fleet Controller at GKR Transport, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and management of our fleet. You will be responsible for assisting in the coordination, scheduling, and monitoring of vehicle operations, ensuring that our drivers adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the scheduling and coordination of fleet operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
* Monitor fleet performance, including fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and driver behavior.
* Support the Fleet Controller in managing vehicle maintenance, ensuring that all vehicles are in good working condition and compliant with safety standards.
* Communicate effectively with drivers and other departments to resolve any issues or concerns related to fleet operations.
* Maintain accurate records of fleet activity, including vehicle logs, maintenance reports, and inspection records.
* Help with the preparation of reports and documentation for fleet operations and compliance.
* Assist in managing and optimising fleet resources to ensure cost effective and sustainable operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Previous experience in fleet management, transport, or logistics is preferred, but not essential.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of transport regulations and industry standards is an advantage.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and fleet management software.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to excellence.
