About the Role:

You’ll work in cutting-edge environments, caring for premature or critically ill newborns and children with complex needs.
Whether supporting in a high-level NICU, special care nursery, or paediatric ICU, this role offers a chance to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing life-saving care and emotional support to families when they need it most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialised nursing care to neonates and critically ill infants
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, fluids, and nutritional support
- Operate advanced NICU/PICU equipment (e.g., ventilators, incubators)
- Collaborate with neonatologists, paediatricians, and allied professionals
- Educate and support families through crisis and recovery
- Maintain meticulous documentation and comply with regulatory standards
- Provide resuscitation and emergency care when required
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development
Qualifications & Skills:
Registration:
- Australia: AHPRA Registered Nurse
- New Zealand: NCNZ Registered Nurse
Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years in NICU, PICU, paediatrics, or maternity care
- Postgraduate qualification in neonatal/paediatric nursing preferred
Certifications:
- BLS, ALS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
Core Competencies:
- Empathy and family-centred care
- Calm, precise decision-making under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Proficiency with EMR systems and neonatal equipment
Salary Range:
Australia:
- Base Salary: AUD $70,000 – $105,000/year
- Hourly: AUD $35 – $50/hour (+ shift penalties)
Current Zealand:
- Base Salary: NZD $65,000 – $95,000/year
- Hourly: NZD $32 – $45/hour
- Public sector salaries per national MECA agreements
