This is a Cancer Services Multidisciplinary Team Administration Officer role with NSW Health based in Sydney, NSW, AU NSW Health Role Seniority - junior, mid level More about the Cancer Services Multidisciplinary Team Administration Officer role at NSW Health This is a new position working as part of the Multidisciplinary Coordination team in an administrative capacity. The role will support clinicians in preparing for MDT meetings and ensuring that the outcomes are distributed. It will require robust billing practices and following operating procedures to generate MDT revenue and accurate activity capture of the MDT presentations. Where you'll be working Cancer Services Royal North Shore Hospital What You'll Be Doing To work with the MDT Co-ordinator, Cancer Nurse Co-ordinators and Clinicians to provide high level administration of multi-disciplinary team meetings including Medicare Billing activity, Activity Based Funding reporting, and monitoring and reporting on MDT attendance. The position provides relief for the MDT Co-ordinator when absent. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support at a high level across a multidisciplinary setting including a proven capacity to operate effectively in an environment demanding confidentiality and discretion in issues management and ability to prioritise workloads and redistribute resources to achieve goals. High level interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with a clear ability to project a positive image, and effectively liaise and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Proven high level of organisational skills including the ability to work both independently and as a team member in a challenging environment, ensuring that work is prioritised to effectively meet deadlines where attention to detail is essential. Demonstrated initiative and capability to problem solve by using negotiation, judgement and discretion to achieve defined objectives. Significant experience in a similar role demonstrating skills with medical terminology, cancer multidisciplinary working, and meeting administration including minute taking. Demonstrated advanced computer skills including use of software such as Microsoft Office products (eg Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Demonstrated knowledge and experience in patient billing including Medicare billing processes. Need more information?
