Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Senior Human Resources Advisor to support our operational and corporate teams. This role is critical in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, driving workforce performance, and fostering a strong culture.
The Senior Human Resources Advisor will collaborate closely with operational leaders to provide expert guidance in areas including workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing HR support that aligns with operational goals.
* Partner with site managers and corporate teams to deliver HR solutions that drive productivity and engagement.
* Lead and manage the implementation of a HRIS.
* Support workforce planning and talent acquisition efforts for field and corporate roles.
* Manage employee relations cases, ensuring fair and compliant resolution of issues.
* Lead and support performance management, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
* Monitor and advise on compliance with employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
* Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform strategic decisions and improve HR effectiveness.
* Support organizational change management and continuous improvement efforts.
* Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and training programs.
Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (preferred).
* 5+ years of experience in a HR Generalist role, ideally within the mining, construction, energy, or heavy industry sectors.
* Strong knowledge of employment law, labour relations, and HR best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders at all levels.
* Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote or field-based environment with occasional travel to operational sites.
* Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
