We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This is a critical role responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our entire workforce, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to all relevant regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the payroll function, including processing, reporting, and compliance. They will serve as a key point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, ensuring all queries are handled with professionalism and sensitivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Payroll Processing:
o Accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payroll, including all aspects of salary, leave, and deductions.
o Management of payroll-related adjustments, such as bonuses, overtime, and retroactive payments.
o Administration of employee benefits, including superannuation and other statutory contributions.
o Ensure minimal errors in the payroll process.
* Reporting and Compliance:
o Preparation and submission of all required payroll reports and tax filings.
o Ensuring compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and regulations.
o Maintenance of accurate payroll records and documentation.
o Assistance with internal and external audits.
* Employee Relations:
o Responding to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
o Maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all payroll-related matters.
o Resolve pay discrepancies.
* System Management:
o System maintenance and improvement.
o Ensure correct award rates are being paid.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Proven experience in payroll management.
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation and regulations.
* Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
* Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Payroll or related qualifications preferred.
