Job Description
* Design, develop, and implement mechatronic systems for mining and industrial applications.
* Collaborate with leadership to make strategic technical decisions and drive innovation.
* Analyse project requirements and provide tailored engineering solutions.
* Test and optimise systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.
* Perform, review and provide technical assurance for structural FEA calculations and design validations.
* Oversee the integration of mechanical, electronic, and software components.
* Mentor and develop junior designers and draftspersons, building capability, consistency and confidence across the engineers function.
* Document designs and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering methodologies and practices.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Mechatronic Engineer should have:
* A degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and software systems.
* Proven experience in system design, testing, and optimisation.
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent problem‐solving and analytical skills.
* Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
Advantageous Experience
* Experience with Hydraulic Systems.
* Exposure to low voltage electrical systems.
* Experience with dust suppression and spraying systems.
* Background in mining, heavy industry, or harsh‐environment equipment design.
