 
        
        The Role 
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Numinbah Offender Health Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. 
You will 
Assess and monitor the overall health care required for offenders and set individual plans 
Work in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement offender care plans based on patient needs 
Provide high quality nursing assessments and interventions 
Participate in multidisciplinary and interagency meetings held by the centre to discuss the needs of individuals and groups. 
Work in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups 
About you 
To be successful in this position you will require: 
A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent 
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia 
Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing) 
A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable 
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B 
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required 
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed 
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us 
The Numinbah Offender Health Service is a part of the Gold Cost Hospital and Health Service that is managed by Mental Health and Specialist Services, situated in the Numinbah Correctional Centre and is a low secure facility for approximately 110 women prisoners. The Offender Health Service determines offenders primary health needs and develops and implements offender health care plans based on those needs in collaboration with others, based at Numinbah Offender Health Service, based in Numinbah Valley
