Hays have partnered with a large State Government organisation to recruit for a Principal Engineer to join the Program Delivery & Operation Branch based in Nerang. This is a pivotal role where you will manage key components of the road infrastructure program and provide expert technical guidance across planning, design, construction and maintenance phases.
Your new role
In your new role you will be responsible for:
* Lead the delivery of complex road infrastructure projects
* Act as the "Representative of the Principal" in contract delivery
* Provide high-level engineering advice and ensure best practice outcomes
* Manage tenders, contracts and stakeholder relationships
* Mentor and supervise engineering and technical staff
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent (Washington Accord accredited)
* RPEQ Registration
* Construction / White Card
* Proven experience in a similar capacity
* Strong experience in project and contract management
* Strong leadership abilities
