Theatre Technician – Grades 2, 3 & 4
Location: Cabrini Malvern – Permanent full‐time or part‐time positions.
Role Overview
As a Theatre Technician within our Perioperative Department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe positioning of patients, maintaining sterile fields, and supporting the operating team across a diverse mix of surgical specialties.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and ensure the safe positioning and immediate preoperative preparation of patients.
* Assist with the positioning and connection of equipment in the theatre while maintaining a sterile field.
* Transport and move patients safely within and outside of the theatre.
* Collaborate with a high‐performing team that values exceptional quality care.
* Handle tasks in a fast‐paced, physically demanding environment.
Qualifications
* Experience in the perioperative setting as a Theatre Technician (preferred).
* CertificateIII in Health Services Assistance (Specialising – Operating Theatre Technician) – minimum required.
* Victorian Working with Children Check.
* Ability to work within a multi‐disciplinary team and follow direction.
* Commitment to clinical excellence and patient‐centred care.
* Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
* Physical ability to perform demanding tasks.
