Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

The Rehabilitation Medicine Department is seeking an organised and proactive Secretary to provide high‑level administrative support in a full‑time capacity. This position is central to ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of administrative operations across the department and its associated services.

In this role, you will deliver executive‑level support to the Service Director, Staff Specialists and Registrars, managing communication, scheduling, documentation and departmental processes with accuracy and discretion. Your ability to anticipate needs, prioritise competing tasks and maintain a well‑organised workflow will be key to supporting the team's clinical and operational functions.

What you will bring to the role

* Demonstrated secretarial / administrative experience in supporting management at a senior level.
* Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
* Experience in the preparation of high level correspondence such as briefing papers and reports.
* Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to carry out a variety of complex functions that require sound judgement and flexibility and the ability to work autonomously.
* Experience in statistical analysis and reporting.
* Commitment and understanding of customer service principles including demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapports.
