Our Industrial Services Division serves the industrial, oil, gas, and mining sectors, specialising in providing permanent, contract, and interim personnel to deliver those services in a timely and professional manner.
In this division, we have created a current role of Senior HR Advisor due to significant growth and the increasing complexity of requirements in this area.
Position Overview:
As our Senior HR Advisor, you will be responsible for a small team and the delivery of services across a national footprint of projects. The role would suit a HR professional who has had project site experience, particularly if that experience has been regional or remote.
Based in Beenleigh, this is a full-time role where you will split your time between the office, and occasional travel intra and interstate.
You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on a wide range of HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and policy development. The role will also have peer relationships with the broader team of HR specialists and our Head of People and Culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting and developing employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HR advice and guidance to employees and managers
- Manage HR processes, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievances
- Managing relationships with Client HR teams
- Manage Industrial Relations matters
- Be responsible for recruitment and onboarding activities
- Engage in EBA negotiations, interpretation, and application
- Work to project deadlines, and prioritise team activities to deliver for our clients every time
- Train, coach and support mangers and supervisors on HR processes
- Assist with other HR projects and initiatives as required (such as implementation of new systems)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources
- 5 years of experience in a similar HR role
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws and their application
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven record of delivery of HR services in complex environments with tight deadlines
