* Full time, fixed term for 12 months
* Base salary from $89,755 - $100, % superannuation
About the opportunity
The Westmead Applied Research Centre is seeking a Research Administration Officer who will provide administrative services and operational support to the Chief Investigators and their team to support the research activity and requirements for the work area. Assists with administrative duties of digital health projects including patient recruitment, ethics and governance applications, data collection and storage, payment of invoices and stakeholder communication. .
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* assists with the recruitment of patients to the various projects
* assists with ethics and governance applications ensuring all requirements are satisfied and submitted appropriately using online systems and/or other necessary procedures under the guidance of the Chief Investigators / Other Investigators / Research Students
* provides professional administrative support and assists with all operations and administration activities
* provides administrative services and support for grants and finances in the group and associated / ongoing reporting for the work area
* strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, enhancing research collaborations and joint initiatives
* assists with the submission of finalised grant applications ensuring all requirements are satisfied and submitted appropriately using online systems and/or other necessary procedures under the guidance of the Chief Investigators / Other Investigators / Research Students
* undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.
About you
* equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
* extensive experience in developing and working on research projects, including expertise in using research protocols, experimental design, ethics submissions and grant applications
* training and experience in clinical research, including recruiting patients, carrying out qualitative interviews and analysis, data collection and storage,knowledge of the regulatory legislation surrounding clinical trials and associated protocols
* ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work
* strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritize workload during busy periods.
