are seeking an enthusiastic
MR Truck Driver
with a "can do" attitude to join their Rural/Urban Works team.
This position is primarily responsible for the loading, transporting and dumping of loose materials and solid objects and the safe operation of and maintenance of vehicle and other duties as required. The MR Truck Driver will be responsible for covering all loose loads and the restraining of solid loads. You will be responsible for the loads you carry and must ensure that the loads are not above the weight limit of the vehicle at any time.
More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
* Operate and maintain Council heavy vehicle(s), including daily pre-start inspections, cleanliness and reporting of defects to the Workshop
* Safely transport loose and solid materials within and outside, ensuring loads are covered, secured and within legal weight limits
* Prepare vehicles and supervise or undertake loading and unloading activities in accordance with approved safe work practices
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to Work Health and Safety, including compliance with SWMS, SOPs, policies and procedures
* Identify and promptly report hazards, incidents, near misses and injuries to the relevant supervisor

About You
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:
* MR Drivers Licence
* Demonstrated experience in truck driving
* Traffic Control (Stop/Slow) Ticket
* WHS Induction for Construction works Certificate (Whitecard)
* Willingness to undertake additional training
* Demonstrated commitment to the principles of honesty and integrity
* Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of WHS and Risk Management procedures
In Addition, An Ideal Candidate Would Have
* First Aid Certificate
* HR Drivers Licence
* Experience in Water Tanker Operations
* Other Plant Qualifications
Salary and Benefits
* Between $1,102.31and $1,219.73per week, commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience.
* Permanent, Full-time, 38 hours per week
