The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance (145 / MRO) Professional to support the C-17A Globemaster Platform as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics. The role is based at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland and will support a diverse team on an exciting and rewarding program.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring compliance to 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
- Support the MRO Team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks to achieve successful production of serviceable aircraft
- Provide direction and instructions to assist in the development of subordinate technicians
Accountabilities
- Reporting to the assigned Maintenance Operations Manager
- Liaising with Boeing, Commonwealth and other Industry teams involved in maintenance operations at Amberley
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as an integrated member in a team environment
Essential Experience/Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
- Hold a DASR Part 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML) or the ability to obtain
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen
- Possess an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain
- Meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS)
Desirable Experience/Qualifications
- Previous experience on C17A aircraft as a maintenance certifier / trade supervisor or ability to obtain international types training
- Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
- Prior supervisory or leadership training
- Have a working knowledge of computer based maintenance management systems including the Defence Protected Network, CAMM2 and AME
- Hold a C class driver's licence
