About the role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our team in Melbourne. This is a critical role supporting the management of a major customer contract and key supplier relationships across both transformation and business‐as‐usual phases. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes, lead complex negotiations, and ensure contracts are effectively implemented and optimised. Key Responsibilities
* Lead complex negotiations with customers and suppliers to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
* Provide expert interpretation of contract scope, deliverables, obligations, risks, and milestones.
* Manage contract variations, amendments, and change processes.
* Act as the commercial point of contact for contract‐related matters.
* Identify and assess commercial risks impacting delivery and financial performance.
* Develop and support risk mitigation strategies.
* Partner with finance and delivery teams to optimise contract performance and cost efficiency.
* Manage and resolve commercial disputes with customers and suppliers.
* Prepare commercial briefings and recommendations for senior leadership.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Collaborate across procurement, legal, operations, and delivery functions.
* Contribute to bid strategy, commercial structuring, and business opportunities.
* Support contract and delivery considerations across new and existing initiatives.
About you
You're a commercially savvy professional with strong negotiation skills and the ability to operate in complex environments.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in commercial or contract management roles.
* Experience working on large‐scale technology or transformation projects.
* Robust understanding of contract law and commercial frameworks.
* Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve complex issues.
* Excellent analytical, financial, and risk assessment skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively across multi‐disciplinary teams.
* Degree in Business, Law or a related discipline.
