At 4 East, we're looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Grade 2 Registered Nurse under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or delegate, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care within our dynamic learning environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to a patient-centred care framework, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. You'll be responsible for the clinical care of patients and supervision of the clinical care of patients under the care of Enrolled Nurses within the unit.
In this role, you'll be working with a range of advanced medical and surgical nursing skills, including cardiac monitoring, management of intercostal drainage, temporary cardiac pacing, low dose inotropic and antiarrhythmic support. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your skills further through our postgraduate certificate program with Deakin University.
As a key member of our team, you'll be expected to maintain current registration with AHPRA, hold a current national criminal history check, and have a minimum of 1 year's experience in cardiothoracic, cardiology or surgical specialties. Postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac or Critical Care are highly desirable but not essential.
