OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Willing to work sleepover shifts and active nights.
- Willingness to participate in shift work including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Required to hold an NSW Driver's License (P2/Full).
- Willingness to drive a Unisson vehicle.
- Required to hold a current First Aid Certificate.
- High levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude.
- Emotional intelligence, resilience, and capacity to perform the work required.
- Prior experience working with people with disabilities or in a similar role (desirable).
- Certificate III and/or IV in Disability and prior experience (desirable).
ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are looking for a motivated, caring, and suitably skilled person to provide support for clients with intellectual disabilities living in Kellyville. The clients enjoy exploring sensory activities, cooking, arts & crafts, spending time with families, and community activities. They require support with complex behaviors and assistance in engaging in meaningful activities.
The responsibilities include:
- Female applicants only (due to client care requirements).
- Fluent in English for clear and compassionate communication with families and health professionals.
- Comfortable and capable of driving a large wheelchair-accessible van.
- Experience in disability, aged care, or nursing settings.
- Comfortable with full personal care, including bed bathing, hygiene support, and use of commodes.
- Experience with mobility aids and equipment such as ceiling hoists, standing frames, electric beds, and shower chairs.
- Experience with PEG feeding, epilepsy management (including PRN), pressure area care, and accurate documentation.
- Support and encourage clients to participate in activities within the home and in the wider community.
- Support clients with personal care (toileting, showering, grooming, dressing) as per person-centred plans.
- Use manual handling techniques specified in client plans.
- Transport clients to appointments or activities.
- Respect clients' dignity, cultural background, and religious beliefs when interacting with them and their families.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and reviewing client plans.
- Work cooperatively as part of a team with respect for colleagues.
- Respond to incidents and injuries according to policies and standards.

Week 1 & 2 schedules with detailed start/end times, locations, and total hours are included.
