You'll architect high-performing APIs and automation processes that ensure our vehicle data is accurate, scalable, and valuable to customers.This role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design robust technical solutions, while coaching and developing engineers across the backend team.You'll have a direct impact on one of the most business-critical functions at AutoGrab – making our data infrastructure smarter, faster, and more powerful.What You’ll DoLead and mentor a backend engineering team with a focus on high-performance, scalable systemsDesign and maintain backend services and APIs hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Drive the implementation of data matching, deduplication and quality processesWork closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, Engineers and Product ManagersEnsure seamless integration of large datasets from diverse automotive sourcesContribute to technical strategy, system architecture, and roadmap planningSupport our broader platform vision and data strategyWhat You’ll Bring7+ years’ experience in backend or data engineering roles2+ years in a Technical Lead or Engineering Lead capacityStrong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQLExpertise in building and scaling APIs and backend systems on GCPExperience working with data quality, matching, or deduplication frameworksExcellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersA passion for solving complex, real-world problems through technologyBonus: Exposure to LLMs, machine learning, or PythonWhy Join AutoGrab?We’re proud to have been recognised in the AFR Fast Starters and Deloitte Tech Fast 50, but we’re even more excited about what’s ahead.
