We are collaborating with Wellways and Clarity Health Care to open the Western NSW Medicare Mental Health Centre. This centre will offer free, safe and welcoming services for individuals seeking mental health advice and support.
The centre is funded by the Australian Government and provides a streamlined approach to supporting better mental health and social wellbeing across the country.
About the service:
Our service is tailored to the needs of the community in regional NSW and offers a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support.
We provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals experiencing psychological distress, providing an alternative to presenting to the Emergency Department for low risk individuals.

Role Overview:
Deliver high quality evidence-based clinical care as a member of the multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for adults aged 18 years and over who experience mental health concerns and their families and carers.
Responsibilities include conducting intake and assessments, care treatment planning, care coordination with internal & external services, and providing brief psychological interventions.
Requirements:
We require candidates with one of the following qualifications: Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, OR AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker.
Candidates should have knowledge and understanding of evidence-based interventions and clinical practice, as well as demonstrated excellence in applying such in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use.
A high level of communication and interpersonal skills is required, including the ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders.
Familiarity with electronic client/customer management systems, desktop computer use, and Microsoft Office applications is also essential.
We require eligible applicants to hold a WWCC and be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
