NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health center's. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic mental health nurse to join our team in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to individuals living with mental illness or mental disorder. This role is centred on providing comprehensive clinical services that are least intrusive, deeply collaborative, and firmly rooted in recovery oriented principles. You will engage with consumers, their nominated carers, and families to ensure care is inclusive, responsive, and rehabilitative, while promoting evidence-based interventions that support long term wellbeing.

What you will bring to the role
* Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) - Completion of New Graduate Program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse.
* Demonstrated skills in mental health and mental health nursing assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.
* Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
* Computer competence and literacy.
* Current Driver's License and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
