Overview
Laundry Assistant role at Strath-Haven Aged Care facility on a casual basis. You will work at both locations according to business needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide quality laundry services for residents' clothing that contribute to comfort, appearance and sense of self-esteem, in accordance with established processes, UA standards, the Laundry Manual and Infection control guidelines.
* Ensure residents have clean, labeled and properly stored clothes and linen.
* Identify and flag or fix maintenance issues observed during laundry duties.
* Be organized and responsive to resident needs, communicating effectively while maintaining resident privacy and dignity.
Hours
Permanent Part Time shift from 8am to 12pm, Monday to Friday. Availability to work across two Strath-Haven locations may be required.
About you
* Experience in a Laundry Assistant role is preferred.
* Caring and compassionate nature.
* Sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, relevant chemicals and safe work practices.
* Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision to deliver resident-focused services.
* Must have availability to meet the shifts above.
* Team player with the ability to engage in one-to-one interactions with residents.

Essentials for working in Aged Care
* Current Working With Children Check card / Vulnerable People card
* Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
* Australian working rights
* Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS clearance
