About BB Line 1 Risk Chapter:
Our BB Line 1 Risk Chapter partners with Product and Distribution teams to help achieve strategic goals, focusing on NPS30+. The chapter manages end-to-end risk, including emerging risks, through effective design and implementation of controls, ensuring operational risk & compliance frameworks are properly applied. It also provides oversight and governance of the risk environment.
Team Role:
The Risk and Controls Line 1 Manager supports Customer, Channel and Data (CDD) Domain teams with risk advice, helping them deliver changes safely. You will strengthen and embed risk and compliance improvements, advising on business change initiatives and working with stakeholders across the Group. You will also assist Product Owners with ORM frameworks, risk assessments, and incident management. This role reports to the Senior Manager Risk and Control Advisory.
Your Responsibilities:
Adhere to the Code of Conduct.
Promote a proactive risk and control culture.
Support teams developing technology and AI solutions to identify and manage risks.
Partner with the business to manage risks within appetite, updating risk profiles as needed.
Design and implement controls for better risk and compliance outcomes, seeking continuous improvements.
Maintain data quality in databases and reporting tools.
Conduct risk assessments on change initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
Implement and follow operational and compliance risk frameworks, advising stakeholders accordingly.
Candidate Profile:
3-5 years’ experience in Risk & Compliance, Data, or Technology/AI.
Knowledge in risk management, controls, assurance, with data and tech domain expertise preferred.
Relevant qualifications and certifications are advantageous.
Experience in control design and risk mitigation strategies.
Familiarity with project work and Agile methodologies is a plus.
Strong advisory and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
