As the Chef de Partie in Star Cafe (our internal staff restaurant), you will be given the responsibility of supporting our Chef de Cuisine, Wayne Desira to assist with ensuring consistency in high quality product and service standards on the overnight shift. A few of your responsibilities: Assist the Chef de Cuisine in the planning of menus Monitors stock levels Assists in rostering and managing team members Ensure the quality and consistency of all food leaving the kitchen What are we looking for: Chef experience required in a 5-star environment or premium restaurant Full work rights and flexible availability over a 7-day roster Availability and willingness to work on a permanent overnight shift Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning Previous experience with quality control in production and preservation Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens About you: With your passion for turning local ingredients into delicious dishes and a natural skill at bringing the best out of the team around you, you will be pivotal in shaping the success of The Star.
