To be the registered manager for a residential respite unit, incorporating 5 beds for adults registered with the Care Quality Commission.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain an up-to-date understanding of existing and pending legislation, policies, and standards to contribute to the strategic direction of the service.
* Ensure timely submission of reports and notifications to CQC and complete relevant records to comply with regulations.
* Safeguard service users, ensure high standards of care practice, and achieve defined quality standards for service delivery.
* Develop and maintain care planning systems and case recording in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Provide a capable environment for people with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors.
* Lead communication and partnership working with other agencies to support service users and carers.
* Manage bookings, process referrals, and ensure the service meets urgent placements and enablement needs.
* Monitor and control the budget to provide value for money services.
* Develop administrative systems, including financial records, performance management information, and building maintenance.
* Establish and maintain a competent staffing team and provide leadership, managerial direction, guidance, and support.
Person Specification
* Management qualification such as NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Social Care.
* Detailed knowledge of CQC regulatory framework, including Fundamental Standards and Quality statements.
* Working knowledge of safeguarding, mental capacity, and deprivation of liberty legislation.
* Knowledge and understanding of adults with learning disabilities, autism, and recognised approaches of support.
