Position Description: Photographer & Videographer (Part Time – 12-Month Contract)
Reporting to: Marketing Manager
Location: Woollahra, Sydney
Role Type: Part Time (3 days per week)
Salary: $40–$51 per hour + superannuation
Role Purpose
The Photographer & Videographer is responsible for the production and delivery of all visual content for Leonard Joel Sydney. This role manages the end-to-end creation of high-quality photographic and video content for auction catalogues, website listings, social media, advertising and corporate marketing initiatives. The position plays a key role in maintaining brand consistency and presentation standards while meeting auction deadlines and marketing timelines.
Key Responsibilities

Auction Photography
Photograph and process all Sydney auction items to a high professional standard.
Edit, crop and prepare images for online and print publication.
Ensure all auction imagery meets online release deadlines.
Maintain accurate file management and digital asset organisation.
Creative & Marketing Content
Conceptualise and produce photography and video content for social media, advertising campaigns and Leonard Magazine.
Develop and execute video content aligned with brand and marketing objectives.
Contribute ideas to enhance Leonard Joel's digital presence and audience engagement.
Research and implement emerging visual technologies and trends where appropriate.
Production & Workflow Management
Manage pre‐production planning and execute projects within departmental timelines.
Contribute to cost efficiency by reducing reliance on external photography providers, ensuring high-quality output is delivered in-house.
Assist with off‐site studio set‐up and photography where required.
Photograph auctions, viewings and events as needed.
Assist the Graphic Designer with image editing and content preparation when required.
Support colleagues with catalogue processes related to imagery.
Maintain photography and video equipment to professional standards.
Ensure the studio environment is organised, functional and presentation‐ready.
Professional Standards & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with Sydney departmental staff and the Marketing team.
Communicate clearly regarding deadlines, workflow and capacity.
Work independently while managing competing priorities.
Attend and contribute to weekly department meetings.
Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience in e-commerce and object‐based photography.
Experience in styled, creative photography and social media content creation.
Competence in video production and editing.
Strong technical proficiency in photography equipment and post‐production software.
Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‐paced environment.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
