An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and experienced Warehouse Manager based in our Forrestfield facility, to oversee day to day inbound and outbound activity of the Warehousing and Inventory functions and to fulfill the strategic longer term inventory directives for Boart Longyear.
**Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day responsibilities include**:
- Direct and control all warehousing and inventory functions to optimise the utilisation of the Perth Distribution Center- Control the selection and training of warehouse staff delegating responsibilities to team- Lead and promote a Safety Culture through managing the warehouse EHS Safety Management Plan- Perform / Oversee following functions:
- Inventory cycle counting, stock takes, claims, variance resolution and all other inventory management tasks- Supervise the process of inbound and outbound of the goods for control and efficiency- Supervise the picking and packing process, for both timeliness and accuracy- Manage claims, identity root cause, perform analysis and take the corresponding action to reduce occurrences- Coordinate with internal customers for order prioritization and management of transportation- Plan, evaluate, distribute and develop the warehouse teams focus in order to achieve set goals and targets- Provide timely shipping and transportation documentation back to all customers- Promote a culture of compliance in line with our Legal and Corporate Policy requirements.- Control the warehouse budget to identify saving opportunities**A few other things we're looking for**:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in warehousing and inventory management- Demonstrated people management experience- Highly structured, well organised and a meticulous planner- Focussed on delivering the highest level of customer service to effectively coordinate with internal and external customers.- Strong communication skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships across all areas of the business.- Experience in Lean or Continuous Improvement Culture is highly desirable**Auto req ID**: 14048BR
