About This Opportunity
As the Project Delivery Lead (Major Projects), you'll oversee the full lifecycle of the major capital projects portfolio, including planning, delivery and handover. You'll collaborate with a skilled team to manage budgets, risks, and outcomes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. This role is central to fostering strong partnerships across the organisation, with government agencies, contractors, and our community.
What You'll Deliver
* Manage, mentor and support a team of project managers
* Oversee delivery of the Major Projects portfolio including risks, budgets, timelines and project performance to deliver successful outcomes
* Foster a positive, inclusive and safe team culture where everyone feels valued
* Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Prepare project scopes, reports, funding submissions and business cases
* Drive continuous improvements across project systems, processes and practices
Your Skills And Experience
* Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
* Proven experience delivering complex projects (local government experience desirable)
* Proven leadership capability and experience guiding diverse teams
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to navigate complexities, exercise balanced judgement and motivate others
