Responsibilities
Reporting to the Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for the timely and efficient acceptance of inbound goods and raw materials destined for use in the catering area. These may include fresh food, frozen or dry goods, alcohol and other beverages, as well as equipment and stationary items.
Keep an accurate record and receipts of all deliveries.
Ensure all goods required by the catering team are available on time and in the required quantities.
Ensure delivered items are packed to acceptable hygiene and other specifications.
Ensure the availability of goods and rotation where necessary.
Manage the stock in the store effectively to ensure space is available for incoming goods as required.
Maintain the company's policy in relation to HACCP, QSAI, and WHS in accordance with Federal and State Government Regulations.
Ensure all perishable items are colour coded and stamped with acceptance date.
Anticipate potential problems and take appropriate actions to manage or mitigate them.
Manage relationships based on clear KPIs supported by an effective review mechanism that drives ongoing process and operational improvement.
Qualifications / What you need
Previous or current stores experience is ideal.
Must possess current forklift / work at heights licenses.
Basic understanding of Halal policies and procedures desirable.
Good knowledge of general Work Health and Safety.
General knowledge of warehousing and storage procedures.
Good Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
Availability to work up to 38 hours/week, as this role can be casual or full-time.
