Senior Civil Designer Position
\
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Designer to join our team in delivering solutions for urban, land and subdivision projects.
\
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conceptual and detailed designs using 12D software, with experience working on multi-disciplined civil projects for councils, local government authorities and private sector clients.
\
Key Responsibilities:
\
\
1. Preparing conceptual and detailed designs for land subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer & water systems, and associated infrastructure;
\
2. Interpreting civil design requirements of state government, local government authorities, and private sector clients;
\
3. Interface with associated disciplines such as transport, planning, survey, traffic, electrical and landscaping;
\
4. Interacting with clients regarding project needs and expectations.
\
5. Ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and is delivered on time and within budget.
\
6. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
\
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry developments.
\
8. Participating in business development activities, including marketing and networking events.
\
9. Contributing to the development of policies and procedures related to civil design.
\
10. Providing training and guidance to junior staff members.
\
11. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes where possible.
\
12. Collaborating with other teams to achieve organizational goals.
\
13. Conducting site visits and inspections as required.
\
14. Maintaining accurate records and reports of work completed.
\
15. Preparing and presenting proposals, reports, and other documentation as required.
\
16. Engaging with clients and stakeholders to discuss project progress and outcomes.
\
17. Representing the company at conferences, meetings, and other events.
\
18. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
\
19. Remaining adaptable and flexible in response to changing project requirements and priorities.

20. Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

43. A Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent;

44. Proven experience in senior civil design roles, preferably in a similar field;

45. Strong knowledge of civil design principles and practices, including 12D software;
