The Role
The Senior Product Developer role is responsible for the execution and delivery of seasonal samples, ensuring each collection is delivered on time and to zoe kratzmann quality standards.
With extensive experience in garment construction, fittings, quality assurance, fabrication and production; you will contribute to executing incredible premium quality products across a wide variety of women's apparel categories. The role reports to our Head of Design and works closely with our Creative Director.
Position Overview
You will work within the Design team to transition from initial design concepts through to final production and throughout the production process. You will play a crucial role in supporting all stages including ideation, technical delivery and operational excellence.
You will specify and create technical packs, oversee the fitting process, coordinate quality control standards and implement fitting comments and spec adjustments, ensuring all products meet the zoe kratzmann quality standards and critical path deadlines.
Critical Responsibilities and Requirements
* Generate creative ideas for new products, features, and enhancements that align with the brand's aesthetic and creative direction.
* Work within the team oversee the development process to ensure all elements are executed in line with zoe kratzmann standard of quality, sustainability, and creative design brief.
* Oversee the fit and sampling process, ensuring consistency in quality and brand standards.
* Track and report on development progress, costs, and potential production challenges.
* Create tech packs and adjust garment specs, considering technical pattern making throughout the development process.
* Develop, maintain and update technical sketches and Bill of Materials.
* Contribute to the production and QC process and maintain strong relationships with offshore suppliers.
* Collaborate with the leadership team to source new suppliers based on new product requirements
* Contribute to ongoing brand and department improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
* 10+ years experience in a similar role.
* Thorough understanding of garment construction is a must, ideally in a range of commercial and premium environments.
* Experience in Women's Apparel is a must. Solid experience in women's tailoring is desirable.
* Experience working across a variety of categories is essential.
* Tertiary education in Fashion Design and/or Pattern Making is desirable.
* Strong skills in Excel as well as digital techniques and programs.
* Experience in Tech packs, Garment spec & Grading is essential.
* In-depth knowledge and experience in fabric testing, textile properties and quality assurance.
* Strong communication skills with both international suppliers & internal departments.
* Strong organisational skills to adhere to critical path deadlines.
* Impeccable attention to detail and a dedication to excellence.
