Contract Opportunity | $42.96 per hour + Super | Initial 3-month Contract + Possible Extensions
**Your current company**
Our client is one of the largest public sector authorities which provides community services and facilities for a growing population. They are looking for a public lighting infrastructure officer to be part of the road infrastructure planning team.
**Your new role**
You will provide support to the team by maintaining and updating asset registers. Additionally, you will provide advice on the renewal of proactive maintenance program within the lighting team. Most importantly, you will provide technical expertise in the development of Geographical Information System capabilities for public lighting assets.
Additional accountabilities:
- Investigate and resolve customer enquiries/complaints in consultation with other technical staff, supervisors and leadership team.
- Develop and manage contract management tasks and consult with contractors to ensure allocated maintenance activities are performed according to terms of engagement
**What you'll need to succeed**
You have experience in design, construction, or asset management in public lighting. Furthermore, you have knowledge in updating and collating asset registers. You possess the ability to communicate and deal with people at all levels and to make prompt, reliable decision within the bounds of allocated responsibilities.
Additional qualifications
- Knowledge of AS1158 public standards is desirable.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and GIS software.
- "C" class drivers license
- Queensland General Safety Induction Card (Construction Industry)
