Transforming lives through impactful state-wide education is a critical challenge we face. This role requires an individual who can drive positive change by delivering cutting-edge training programs and resources on violence, abuse & neglect to NSW Health workers and other frontline staff.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Conducting thorough assessments of workforce capacity and training needs in relation to adult and child sexual assault, child abuse and child protection, and domestic and family violence.
* Developing and implementing effective responses, counselling, case management and advocacy interventions to support those impacted by abuse and neglect.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and deliver programs on children under ten with problematic harmful sexual behaviours.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, applicants must have:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or equivalent.
* Proven experience working in NSW Health VAN services and/or related services providing responses to individuals and families affected by violence abuse and neglect.
* A demonstrated understanding of the socio-political context, nature, dynamics and impacts of violence abuse and neglect.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
