About the Role
Sustainability Education Officer is responsible for developing and implementing education programs that link to the Eurobodalla Climate Action Plan 2022-2032. This role involves raising awareness and engaging stakeholders in promoting sustainable activities, reducing energy, waste, and water usage, and increasing understanding of ecosystems and biodiversity.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deliver stakeholder education programs that meet the needs of schools, business, and the general community.
* Raise awareness and promote sustainable activities through various channels.
* Implement initiatives to reduce energy, waste, and water usage.
* Increase understanding of ecosystems and biodiversity among stakeholders.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications or experience in education, sustainability, climate change, environment, or energy management.
* Experience in designing, developing, and delivering stakeholder education programs.
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation, interpersonal, and public presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a team, with diverse community groups.
* Computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
* Knowledge and experience of community engagement and public participation planning and evaluation is an advantage.
