We are seeking a highly capable and disciplined Senior Events Delivery Manager to play a key role within our Events Division. Someone with a good understanding and knowledge of Victorian laws & legislation as well as a background in Risk & Public Safety. This is an ideal role for someone with a law enforcement or military background looking to transition into a dynamic, fast-paced events security leadership position.
With a strong understanding of threat management, operational risk, and compliance, you will play a critical role in the planning, delivery, execution and improvement of various events and venues across VIC.
This role ensures operational excellence through effective team leadership, quality assurance and maintenance of strong client relationships while upholding all required standards and procedures.
The successful candidate will have the drive and willingness to work in a fast-paced and complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct risk assessments, threat analyses, and develop appropriate mitigation plans in collaboration with venue stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory frameworks, including incident reporting and licensing obligations.
Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and internal response teams during critical events or emergencies.
Manage and mentor a team of Duty Managers, Supervisors, and operational staff to ensure professionalism, consistency, and accountability.
Maintain excellent communication with stakeholders, including venue operations, event organisers, and public authorities.
Create SOP's & Security Management plans and job descriptions for different events and roles.
Ensure consistent delivery of security services that meet or exceed client expectations
Assess training needs of security personnel and develop appropriate programs
Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and emergency response procedures inline with the Event / Venues.
Handle incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
Collaborate with event managers and operations staff to assess risk and determine staffing needs.
Maintain knowledge of current security trends and technology.
Provide regular security briefings to staff and stakeholders.
Skills and experience
A minimum of 3+years' experience in Security Management role or a related field.
Law enforcement background would be highly desirable.
Fully qualified and Licensed for Security Operations in Victoria.
Current National Police Check.
Knowledge of Victorian Laws & Legislation
Experience in management of venues in a highly regulated environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, including the ability to multitask.
A demonstrated commitment to internal and external service standards.
A high level of accuracy and the ability to work well under pressure.
An adaptable and flexible nature.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
