Mercy Community, a progressive Not-For-Profit offering diverse services, is seeking a **Payroll Assistant **to join our team. Reporting to our Payroll Manager, this role will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administration and processing of payroll tasks. You will join an experienced payroll team where you will receive great training and coaching within a highly regulated payroll environment.
**The Role**
This newly created position will support our growing organisation across Queensland on all matters relating to payroll. You'll be responsible for:
- Assisting with everyday payroll processing for up to 2000 staff.
- Entering new employees into databases relevant to work location.
- Processing changes to employee details.
- Resolving payroll enquiries.
- Ensuring payroll database integrity is maintained.
- Assisting with payroll activities and related projects.
**About You**
To be successful in the role you will have accurate data entry skills along with a collaborative and people focused approach. Certificate III in Business or Financial Services will be highly desirable. You will have an ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly, a keen eye for detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
This role is perfect for someone who is keen to learn and passionate about people and numbers. Full training and ongoing coaching will be provided to ensure you excel in this role. Solid I.T. and systems skills will be highly advantageous.
