The Cable Beach House, located in beautiful Cable Beach is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our friendly team.
The Cable Beach House is a beachfront bar, restaurant and takeaway kiosk with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.
A proudly family owned and operated venue, we have earned a reputation for our great food and welcoming service.
The Role
As the Head Chef you will be running the kitchen to a high standard across all operations.
As a natural "hands-on" leader with previous experience as a Head Chef, you will have the autonomy of leading your team to success.
We are looking for a talented individual who also has strong cost control, menu development, communication and mentoring skills.
To be considered for this role, candidates must
Have previous work experience in a high-volume restaurant
Have previous experience as a Head Chef
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, management and organizational skills
Be creative and have a passion for food and the hospitality industry
Have a proven track record of cost control, including food, equipment, labour and waste
Hard-working, reliable with a positive attitude.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure in a team environment with excellent communication skills.
Food safe and allergen awareness training.
Ability to be flexible with shifts, a 7-day rotating roster including weekends, breakfast and evening shifts.
Experience with the software programme; Cooking the Books, would be desirable but not essential.
Full training and support will be provided.
