Your Opportunity
* Provide specialist anaesthetic care and related medical services in the Department of Anaesthetics.
* Assist the Clinical Director and Executive Director of Bundaberg and Rural to ensure clinical services are of the highest standard and delivered efficiently.
* Assist with the education and supervision of trainees, medical students, allied health and nursing staff.
Employment Types
Permanent full‐time (80 hours p.f.) and permanent part‐time positions (hours negotiable).
What we're looking for
* Previous work experience within an acute/trauma teaching hospital environment.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, nursing staff and managers.
* Ability to provide clinical leadership and facilitate multidisciplinary teamwork.
* Maintenance of a clinical or academic appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Medical qualification from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with a current annual practising certificate. Fellows of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists are preferred, as are non‐specialists who demonstrate significant progression towards fellowship.
* Applicants who have completed specialist qualifications but are not yet registered as specialists are encouraged to apply.
* All relevant qualifications must be submitted to AHPRA for inclusion on their website and evidence must be provided in time to enable the awarding of a Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) before commencement.
* All appointments are subject to maintenance of SoCP within the CSCF for the facilities where clinical work is undertaken.
