The Role
We are seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team and oversee maintenance operations across 50 childcare centres in NSW. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in maintenance and repair work.
Responsibilities:
- Fixing broken furniture
- Repairing or replacing broken toys and play equipment
- Fixing minor plumbing issues
- Cleaning gutters
- Pressure cleaning exterior surfaces
- Touching up paint on walls or furniture
- Changing light bulbs
- Cleaning and maintaining HVAC systems
- Keeping outdoor areas tidy
- Responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues
- Ensuring emergency exits are clear and operational
- Installing new equipment or fixtures as needed
- Setting up temporary structures for events or activities
- Mowing lawns and maintaining outdoor landscaping
Essential Criteria
- Working with Children's Check Clearance
- Full driver's license
- Own tools
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role
- Physically fit and healthy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
