* Northern Adelaide Local Health Network – Older Persons Mental Health Service – Modbury
* Salary: $67,589 - $72,033 p.a. (pro rata) – ASO3– Temporary Full-Time

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Personal Assistant & Admin Coordinator within the Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS).

The Personal Assistant & Admin Coordinator is accountable to the Senior Administration Officer, for the provision of confidential personal administrative support to the Nursing Director and Head of Unit of Older Persons Mental Health and office administration and line management of administrative staff.

The Personal Assistant & Admin Coordinator is responsible for the provision of confidential, high quality support, secretarial, administrative services and project work to ensure the efficient management and operation of the Mental Health Services Division.

Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills:

* A demonstrated ability to be self-directed and with minimal supervision in carrying out secretarial, office management and administration supervisory activities.
* Ability to liaise successfully with all levels of management and staff in a range of departments and agencies to provide effective and efficient management of responsibilities.
* Highly developed oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with a variety of professional and non-professional staff, external agencies and clients.
* Ability to analyse tasks, problems and situations effectively and develop action and review plans.
* Proven ability to manage workloads, priorities, meet deadlines and perform under pressure in a stressful environment.
* Displays personal energy and enthusiasm and maintains a positive outlook even when faced with difficult situations and environments, demonstrating initiative and a high degree of independence.
* Proven positive interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to respond professionally and appropriately with a customer service focus to patients, external agent/ agencies and internal multi- disciplinary staff.
* Consistently demonstrates best practice and a commitment to quality standards, pro-actively participating in service improvement and showing initiative in meeting these improvement needs.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
* Ability to conceptualise and develop initiatives that will streamline functions/service delivery and result in positive outcomes.
* Ability to undertake research and project related activities.
* Ability to supervise staff and delegate workloads.
* Proven commitment to the principles and practise of: EEO, Ethical Conduct, diversity and OHS&W; Quality management and client-oriented service; and risk management.
* Personal values consistent with compassionate person and family centred care, able to support the OPMHS Culture Framework

Experience

* Demonstrated experience to service committees including minute taking, formulating agendas and other relevant material and attending to follow-up actions.
* Previous experience in working with database applications and the use of personal computers, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
* Proven experience in establishing and maintaining effective office systems and procedures.
* Proven ability in diary management
* Experience in managing/leading administration staff

Knowledge

* High level knowledge and use of Microsoft software applications.
* Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and procedures.
* Understanding of the Australian National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards.

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:

Mental Health - The Division of Mental Health provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for youth, adults and older people in northern Adelaide. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes.

Forensic Mental Health - A statewide service that operates as part of the Division of Mental Health for forensic patients and prisoners.

Community Sites - Elizabeth GP Plus, Modbury GP Plus and Gilles Plains GP Plus Super Clinics providing community based care.
