Role: Manual Tester

Role Overview:
Detail-oriented Tester to validate and assure the quality of integrations and business workflows across CASD, RAMS, and InfoED applications. The role requires strong end-to-end testing capability, deep understanding of data flows, system interfaces, and business processes, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, analytical, and proactive, with proven experience testing complex enterprise platforms and integrations in higher-education, grants, research administration, or similar regulated environments.
Responsibilities:
* Design and execute end-to-end test scenarios covering integrations between CASD, RAMS, and InfoED applications
* Validate data flow, transformations, and synchronisation across systems
* Identify and validate upstream and downstream impacts of system changes
* Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation across CASD, RAMS, and InfoED
* Test APIs, batch jobs, file-based interfaces, and real-time integrations
* Log, track, and manage defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
* Retest fixes and validate resolution across impacted systems
* Contribute to test strategy, test plans, and release readiness assessments
* Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Technical Skills
* Experience testing applications similar to CASD, RAMS, InfoED, or equivalent enterprise platforms
* Solid understanding of:
* APIs (REST/SOAP)
* Batch and file-based integrations
* Middleware / integration layers
* Ability to query databases using SQL for validation
* Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
Desirable / Nice to Have
* Experience in Higher Education, Research Administration, or Grants Management systems
* Understanding of security, privacy, and compliance considerations
* Experience working with offshore / distributed teams
