Work within a dynamic, fast‑paced, high‑performing, experienced and fun Estimating team doing Sales Estimating, in our Gippsland office, Traralgon.
Responsibilities
* Produce sales estimates to reflect the customer's requirements to incorporate standard options, non‑standard variations, foundation and footing requirements, inclusions to achieve required siting and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure that all requirements described in the engineer's report are incorporated into the preliminary contract and contract documents.
* Follow company checklists to capture and process all information required to determine fixed site costs.
* Produce sales estimates to support the following stages of the workflow process to reflect the customer's requirements and to incorporate amendments required to obtain all relevant permits related to preliminary contract (including amendments), customer selections, contract (including amendments) and post‑contract variations.
* Ensure that sales estimates are modified accurately to suit the requirements of engineers, surveyors and building surveyors.
* Prepare and document specific estimates in accordance with the Metricon design and construction details.
* Calculate quantities and maintain inventories for standard options to complement our product range, using Metricon's estimating systems software.
* Set prices based on supplier rates and margin schedules.
* liaise with a number of internal stakeholders including sales, designers and purchasing teams.

Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience working with an Australian residential builder as either a sales or production estimator.
* Working knowledge of the building and construction industry.
* Associate Diploma in Building Construction or equivalent construction knowledge (preferred).
* Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and proven experience in estimating—a must.
* Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail.
* An interest in continuous improvement and a willingness to provide feedback to management.
* The ability to thrive in a goal‑driven, dedicated team environment.
