About the Role
We are seeking experienced trade qualified Gyprock Plasterers to join our team and work across a wide range of commercial and high-end refurbishment projects. The role is varied and hands-on, offering exposure to modern systems and construction methods throughout the Territory.
Duties
Measure, cut, position, and fix plasterboard to walls and ceilings
Install insulation and vapour barriers where required
Prepare and install corner beads, cornices, and other plaster fittings
Joint, seal, and finish plasterboard to a smooth, high-quality standard
Apply plaster or render, level surfaces, and ensure straight, consistent finishes
Create decorative textures and apply acoustic, fireproofing, or insulating materials as needed

The project pipeline includes high-profile NT developments such as the Marriott Hotel refurbishment, the Mitsubishi showroom, the Larrakia Cultural Centre, and works at Casuarina Shopping Centre.

Remuneration and Conditions
The following provides a summary of the core pay and employment conditions. In addition to these, Hawkins & Clements offers a range of personalised benefits to support your relocation, career development, and long-term progression within the Australian construction industry.
Hourly rate of $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience
An additional 12% superannuation paid on top of your hourly rate into your Australian retirement fund
20 days of paid annual leave (vacation time) each year
Monday to Friday work as standard
Saturday work and overtime available for those who want to increase their earnings
All tools, modern equipment, and high-quality PPE supplied at no cost
