About the role
Caterpillar of Australia is seeking committed and energetic Warehouse Associates to join our team in our Queensland Distribution Centre, located in Yatala. As a full-time Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for meeting customer delivery standards, locating and picking dealer orders in a safe, accurate and timely manner. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in supporting the company's overall success.
The primary responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
* Receive, inspect, and accurately store incoming goods and materials
* Retrieve, pack, and dispatch customer orders in a timely manner
* Loading/Unloading material
* Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (forklift operations applicable for licensed applicants only)
* RF Scanning
* Adhere to all health, safety, and quality protocol.
Top candidates will have the following skills and attributes:
* Prior warehousing experience within a fast-paced warehousing environment or similar role in a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment.
* Minimum 2 years warehousing experience.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work efficiently.
* Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and inventory control software (EWM or SAP knowledge will be highly regarded).
* Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong commitment to safety
* Reliable with an excellent attendance record.
* Willingness to adapt to change
* RF experience (preferred)
