My client is currently working exclusively with me to recruit a category analyst in their Supplier Capability team. This role will be supporting the development and delivery of an effective framework that ensures better outcomes for our customers and enhances the quality of interactions with suppliers. This is a 6 month contract position with a strong chance to convert into permanent role.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Support the day to day operations, development, training, and quality management of the supplier product portfolio and join category planning processes.
- Support engagement of various internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and contribute to prioritisation of process, tool development and delivery of the supplier capability work plan.
- Analyse existing tools, processes and capabilities to identify opportunities and the use of data in decision making.
- Draw conclusions from data and insights to provide meaningful recommendations and identifying the root causes of problems through structured problem solving and diagnostic techniques.
- Consult and collaborate confidently with stakeholders to strengthen ideas.
**Requirement**:
- Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Finance or related field OR equal professional experience
- Experience in insights analytics within retail or FMCG environment
- Proven experience in Excel, Google Suite, PowerPoint and either Quantium or Nielsen
- SQL knowledge is highly regarded
- Curiousity in understanding customer behaviour and its links to commercial outcomes
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills within retail or FMCG environment
