Procurement Officer

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at our Ingleburn manufacturing facility.

Job Description:

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for coordinating the timely procurement and delivery of manufacturing equipment components, as well as maintaining the stores and its inventory. The role requires organisation and maintenance skills, with excellent attention to detail and a systematic approach.

* Coordinate the Engineering stores, purchasing and receiving functions
* Control all aspects of the stores and its systems
* Gain prices and parts from supplies to meet deadlines within the department
* Seek opportunities to minimise the number of vendors we deal with on a regular basis
* Monitor supplier performance and work with vendors to improve performance where necessary
* Ensure that store information in CMMS system is accurate and up to date
* Overview factory process and provide QAD support
* Ensure purchasing procedures are in accordance with policy
* Ensure purchasing - receiving process is efficient and cost effective
* Provision of appropriate measures for key business drivers
* Monitor compliance to supply agreements and seek opportunities to improve purchasing/stores opportunities
* Research and understand factory purchasing requirements

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, has excellent communication skills and is able to negotiate and manage new existing supplier contracts.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Previous experience in an FMCG company or industrial food production environment
* Proven ability to manage stock control via an automated system
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a systematic approach
* Ability to cope with pressure and deliver results with shifting priorities
* Ability to negotiate and manage new existing supplier contracts
* Be customer focused (both internal and external)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Intermediate Excel and experience using purchasing software such as QAD or similar
* Computer literate, CMMS knowledge/experience such as MEX
