Physiotherapy Assistant Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to supplement their Physiotherapy degree learnings and boost their career prospects.
The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering delegated interventions, contributing to the well-being of our clients. While main shifts will be on weekends in our Acute and Subacute Physiotherapy units, there's potential for casual weekday shifts with our AHA service.
* About the Role
* This role involves assisting in implementing tailored treatment programs for clients and their caregivers. You will set up and maintain therapy equipment and adhere to delegated authority guidelines in all tasks.
* You will also ensure a respectful and welcoming environment for patients, clients, visitors, and staff. Safely managing and maintaining equipment, including conducting inspections and arranging repairs, is also a crucial aspect of this role.
* The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve client goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver delegated interventions to contribute to the well-being of our clients.
* Assist in implementing tailored treatment programs for clients and their caregivers.
* Safely manage and maintain therapy equipment.
* Ensure a respectful and welcoming environment for patients, clients, visitors, and staff.
* Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding any concerns related to patients or their families.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or currently studying a Physiotherapy degree with at least 2 years completed.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve client goals.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills.
