Primary objective
Provide quality financial and administrative services to internal and external clients including the handling of Prisoner Private
Monies and associated financial and administrative management for the Datjala Work Camp.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide autonomous quality administration and financial services for the Datjala Work Camp and the
Chief Correctional Officer in accordance with the Northern Territory Government Legislation.
1. Conduct internal and external engagement including face to face, telephone and electronic communication in a clear,
concise and timely manner.
3. Maintain confidentiality and provide services in a professional manner within a regulatory environment.
4. Procure goods and services and act as a Corporate Credit Card holder and ensure all procurement meets NTG
requirements.
5. Administer the Prisoner Money Management System, including the associated programs and databases. Oversee the
effective and accountable operation of prisoner buy activities.
6. Provide secretariat services for staff and community meetings including scheduling and venue preparation.
7. Ability to work with dual reporting responsibilities to the OIC Datjala Work Camp and DCP Business Manager.
8. Maintain mainframe systems associated with Northern Territory Correctional services for example Prisoner Money
Management System and Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS).
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Sound organisational skills and high-level administrative experience including a proven ability to concurrently co-ordinate
a range of tasks, whilst providing a high level of customer service.
2. Demonstrated experience in providing administrative, finance and procurement services with a demonstrated
understanding of records management.
3. High level of self-management including the ability to work with minimum supervision, use initiative and exercise
confidentiality and discretion.
4. A high level of computing skills with proficiency in a range of relevant computer applications, including mainframe
databases and MS Office applications.

6. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels and in a culturally appropriate manner with people from a
diverse range of backgrounds, in particular experience working with Aboriginal Australians.
7. Current NT Drivers Licence or ability to obtain.
